In designing a kitchen, Sean believes the key to a successful relationship with the client is listening first, suggesting later. The most unique and satisfying projects often begin with the client’s request for something that is under the radar of the kitchen and bath industry. In implementing clients' wishes that other designers labeled as crazy, Sean has been both challenged and rewarded. Rather than trying to leave the designer’s thumb print on every project, he has tried to make the projects bear the signatures of their owners. Even when working in the confines of a development's "model home" program, the designs are as varied as the homeowners.
Sean believes in the Golden Rule and tries to return some of the good will he has been blessed with. As an active member of his community, he has worn many hats through the years. He volunteered as a firefighter and first responder for 20 years with the Godfrey Volunteer Fire Department, leaving as Assistant Chief at the end of 2006 after being injured in the line of duty. He has taught Religious Education in various grade levels at St. James Catholic Church in
